2010 BC Solar Days Review

Solar Days Participants

Solar Days saw 12 communities across the province hosting events, from a tour of the net zero building in Vancouver's Olympic Village, to an afternoon of solar race car races in Grand Forks.

As well, we had 40 open house tours lined up with homeowners, municipal buildings and other buildings - like St. Alban's Church, in Richmond, and the Green Dream Home, in Kamloops.

Dawson Creek

The City of Dawson Creek hosted a Solar Days event on May 28th at the City Hall grounds. There was a tour of the Solar Hot Water Heating System at City Hall, and the Fire Hall. Local community members also took a tour of a vacation trailer that has solar installed and got some popcorn from a popcorn machine running on solar photovoltaic battery power...

Duncan

With three solar technology vedors and nine community initiative vendors set up for the adults to browse, there was also something for the kids from solar car building to a solar pizza box oven creation. There was also numerous solar technology demonstration pieces on site...

Grand Forks
