Find Out Your Home's Solar Potential

Do you want to know how much solar energy is possible on your roof? SolarBC has teamed up with Green Power Labs to provide FREE solar assessments for British Columbians available at Solar Rating Online.

The SolarRating online tool is a fun way to find out how suitable your home is for solar hot water. As soon as you enter your address / postcode, the system knows you are in BC and a message comes up at the top of the screen, to say the report is provided free by SolarBC (normally $10 US).

SolarRating OnLine gives you the information needed to confirm solar technology at your home is a smart investment - one that protects the environment but also reduces YOUR long term energy costs. Green Power Labs' innovative site assessment tool, SolarRating OnLine determines a homes' suitability to solar technology used either to heat water or to generate electricity. Suitability refers to the amount of energy it is possible to produce at a home using solar technology to reduce a family's long term energy costs by replacing a part of the current energy source - oil, gas, propane or grid electricity - with energy taken from the sun.

SolarRating OnLine gives each home a color-coded rating and is the first step in understanding how solar technology might be used to reduce your family's energy costs.

great tool but not free

Not free. I stepped through the software program and was told I would need to pay $9.95 to see my solar report. Not cool and also misleading.

Sorry if you got this message. There may have been a bug. Please try again. I've just tested the tool, it is working and it is FREE. SolarBC has covered the cost of this report for anyone living in BC. The program recognises all BC postcodes and a message should appear at the top of the screen to let you know that it's paid for by SolarBC. Its a great report - my roof is "Close to Ideal". I've had my energy assessment and will be installing my system soon!

Please do not use deceptive advertising. This is still not free.
It does not hold your business in a good like being dishonest.
