The rainy day blues isn’t getting Harald Yurk down – even with winter still in our midst he’s been taking advantage of the intermittent sun with his new solar hot water system. Back in September, when it was first installed, his natural gas bill was a whopping $4.57!
"The system was producing most of the hot water we used," says Yurk. "It was a really great!"
Yurk, who is originally from Germany, chose to install a system based on two reasons: to reduce his carbon footprint and to take advantage of the incentives. As he lives in the city of Vancouver he also received the city’s $3000 incentive, for which the deadline to install has now been lifted.
