Tofino Imparts Workplan Goals at 2009 BC Solar Summit

The District of Tofino was present at the 2009 Solar Summit, held in Vancouver on February 20th. Aaron Rodgers, with Development Services, was on panel for the Solar Communities workshop.

SolarBC's goal with this session was to inform municipalities of the SolarBC Communities and for these communities to share their progress and their goals and address their challenges and targets.

“I had a great time,” said Rodgers. “It was good to hook up with the other communities and see how they are approaching the project,” he said.

Aaron said one main feature of discussion was the issue of how to trade information between the communities, so that everyone can all benefit from shared experiences.

In answer to this, SolarBC will soon be posting the targets for each community on the website, along with contact information, for those who would like more information.
